Responsible Wood continues to grow from strength to strength with more and more scheme holders engaging with the Responsible Wood brand.
Presenting at the Responsible Wood Annual General Meeting in Brisbane, Responsible Wood CEO Simon Dorries outlined the schemes take up amongst forest growers and chain of custody holders;
“So far more than 100 Responsible Wood scheme holders have taken up the Responsible Wood branding.
The Responsible Wood administration is supporting scheme holders through the release of a fresh new range of communication materials that will help members communicate the Responsible Wood message in the marketplace.
Furthermore we are investing extensively in marketing and communications and have a team of roving reporters that will showcase the stewardship practices of our members,” Mr Dorries said.
Launching its new ‘Package It’ campaign, Responsible Wood is using digital media to raise awareness of Responsible Wood amongst end-consumers – targeting customers that pick up the box and see the logo prior to purchase.
Accordingly to Responsible Wood Marketing and Communications Officer, Jason Ross, the campaign is just another example of how Responsible Wood is building awareness in the brand and educating the marketplace about its value.
“There is so much mixed messaging in the marketplace around certification, our role is to communicate with the growers, the supply chain, the specifiers and the end-consumer to ensure that the Responsible Wood message has cut-through.
Responsible Wood is the only certification scheme that ensures that timber or timber-based products meet Australian Standard for social and environmental certification, it is the only certification mark that ensures that the product’s source of origin is certified in accordance with an Australian Standard.
If you are socially or environmentally conscious, or if you wish to support responsible practices in Australian forestry, Responsible Wood is a must,” Mr Ross said.
Responsible Wood has released a new Responsible Logo Usage Tool Kit which is displayed on the Responsible Wood website.
